Breaking Campaign: Expedia Launches Out There, Starts Here
The world’s largest online travel company, Expedia, is helping Kiwis fulfil their travel bucket lists in their brand new campaign: Out There, Starts Here.
The integrated campaign developed by DDB Sydney and Carat, across TV, cinema, digital and out of home features powerful images from around the world designed to inspire people to create their own travel adventure with Expedia.
The TVC will debut on New Zealand and Australian screens on Sunday, 28 April and will be complemented by out of home executions and digital.

Expedia Australia and New Zealand appoints creative agency
Expedia Australia and New Zealand has today announced the appointment of its new creative agency, awarding the business to Sydney-based DDB.
Following a creative pitch, which took place over a two-month period, DDB was chosen from a shortlist of agencies, including incumbent BMF, to handle Expedia’s creative account in both Australia and New Zealand.

Following the acquisition of online travel company, Zuji, by Australian operator, Webjet, Georg Ruebensal, Managing Director of Expedia Australia and New Zealand, has announced that Expedia will finish the year in a strong position, tracking to their plan accordingly. This is despite recent comments from Webjet citing general softness in the online travel category.
Mr. Ruebensal stated “Today’s announcement from Webjet supports Expedia’s forecast for growth in the APAC region, and Expedia very much welcomes the added competition in a market that is ripe for continued expansion.
