Managing Director, Expedia Australia and New Zealand, discusses the future of the online travel market within APAC

Following the acquisition of online travel company, Zuji, by Australian operator, Webjet, Georg Ruebensal, Managing Director of Expedia Australia and New Zealand, has announced that Expedia will finish the year in a strong position, tracking to their plan accordingly. This is despite recent comments from Webjet citing general softness in the online travel category.
Mr. Ruebensal stated “Today’s announcement from Webjet supports Expedia’s forecast for growth in the APAC region, and Expedia very much welcomes the added competition in a market that is ripe for continued expansion. Expedia sees the increased competition in the region as a benefit for both online travel consumers and suppliers.” Read more
